In his speech at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, said that the innovative start-up eco-system of Can Tho City is at the early stage of a new eco-system; therefore, it has not contained all key components, and the current components of the system do not have sufficient knowledge, skills and experience in the area of innovation, supporting and investing in innovations; the linkage between components in the system of Can Tho as well as the regional and international linkages are limited; the infrastructure of start-up support organizations is still insufficient, not maximizing the efficiency of operation, not linking and orienting them in conformity with the innovative activities.

The workshop was an opportunity for the stakeholders in the innovative start-up eco-system to meet and discuss the advantages, difficulties and experiences in implementing supportive activities, thus helping the City to undertake the main objectives, and suitable support, helping the system of Can Tho City improve and create a solid foundation for its activities, contributing to the socio-economic development of the City and the Mekong River Delta.

On this occasion, Can Tho Science and Technology Information Center, Saigon Innovation Hub, Can Tho City Youth Union, Center for Small and Medium Sized Enterprise Promotion in Can Tho City, Vietnam Silicon Valley Accelerator Joint Stock Company - VSV, Vietnam-Korea Technology Incubator, Can Tho Business Association, Technology Enterprise Incubator Center - Can Tho University, and Cantho Student Assistance and Development Center signed a cooperation agreement on Implement Plan No.175 / KH-UBND dated 12/12/2017 of Can Tho City People's Committee on Supporting the development of the innovative start-up eco-system of Can Tho City up to 2020 with orientation to 2025.
