Located in the heart of the Mekong Delta, Can Tho not only attracts tourists with the gentle beauty of its water region but also its honest people and rich cultures.

5h - 9h: Visiting Cai Rang Floating Market and Fruit Garden

You should get up early to exercise, to prepare fresh mind for a traveling day, and for a busy morning in Can Tho with many activities at Ninh Kieu quay at 5 am which look crowded with many parking places of canoes, boats, and ships. Rent a boat to row along Hau River to explore the most famous floating market in the Westland of Vietnam. A small boat for 2-4 people costs 250.000 - 300.000 dongs.

The ship from Ninh Kieu quay to Cai Rang floating market takes about 30 minutes. During that time, you can relax and observe local people’s life along the river or talk to many friendly boatmen. From 6.30 am – 7.30 am is the most exciting time at the floating market from boats carrying passengers, boats carrying wholesale or retailed products of fruit and vegetables to small boats selling foods from surrounding areas.

The most interesting thing is that you can enjoy breakfast on the boat because there are so many mobile service restaurants selling from vermicelli and sour crab soup, noodles, fish noodles, rice noodles (a bowl costs around 25000-30000 dongs) and for tea, iced coffee and milk, soft drinks ... (a cup costs about 10000-15000 dongs). After breakfast, it is so exciting for you to stop by any boats to purchase snacks (coconut leaf cakes, sponge cakes,  ...) or fruit.

From the floating market, it takes about 15 minutes by boat ( with the additional charge of 100.000-200.000 dongs, depending on large and small boats), you can combine with visiting Vam Xang orchard. Each ticket only costs 30,000 dongs to help you know various kind of fruit trees, ways of planting and harvesting crops, or to freely visit, as well as try eating fruit and bring it home.

9h - 12h: Visiting My Khanh Tourism Village

It costs about 30,000 dongs for a ticket of going sightseeing around the village, and entertaining (with separated tickets for joining some activities such as fishing alligators, visiting the haunted house, dog racing, pig racing must buy separate tickets). Besides, My Khanh also offers many interesting tours for those who like to travel in groups, but feel free.

12h - 14h: Resting  and having lunch

After playing and going around in the morning, you need to gain more energy and it is also the time to enjoy your lunch. With only 20,000 to 25,000 dongs per serving, you will enjoy the rice pancake name ‘banh xeo’ at 7 Toi restaurant which tastes delicious and crispy with its attractive yellow.

14h - 16h: Visiting Binh Thuy ancient house and shopping

Visiting the ancient house located on Bui Huu Nghia Street, Binh Thuy District costs 15,000 dongs for each entrance ticket. This over 100-year-old house is a quite attractive visiting place which not only attracts visitors from other provinces but also the visitors from the UK, USA, France ...

16h - 19h: Resting and having dinner

You should take some time to bathe and relax before dinner. If you go with many people, you should choose a grilled snaked fish shop which is located along Sang Thoi Lake to enjoy a happy drinking meal (a serving of 2-4 people is from 150,000 to 190,000 dongs, depending on the size of large or small fish). It will be very appropriate to stop by Thanh Van grilled meatball shop if you go with 1 or 2 people (a serving for one person is 45,000 dongs).

19h - 22h: Exploring the city at night

This is the ideal time for you to view Can Tho’s night with full of lights and talk about the day activities with your favorite drink. The coffee shops at some hotels such as Kim Tho, Holiday One , Iris, Gold, ... are the ideal places with large space and enough height to have the overall view of the city at night. Although the drinks’ price at these places is quite high (from 30,000 dongs), their locations are so convenient.

Then walk around Ninh Kieu quay with your friends to enjoy the night activities here, you not only explore a variety of street foods but also enjoy the fresh air of the quite peaceful life of Can Tho’s people at night.

Once you have more time, stop by Ong Pagoda which is right at the romantic Ninh Kieu quay. This is a quite interesting place to visit with its architecture of Chinese letters which are colorful and bright. Inside the pagoda is decorated with large rings of hanging incense which are offered by many people throughout the year. Ong Pagoda was recognized as a historic national relic in 1993.
