Can Tho City Business Association celebrates its 20th anniversary

On the afternoon of March 29th, the Can Tho City Business Association (CBA) held a conference to commemorate its 20th anniversary. Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Can Tho City; Mr. Duong Tan Hien, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee; CBA leaders, and a large number of CBA members attended the event.

Established in 2005, after 20 years of operation, CBA has always strived and made continuous efforts to accompany its members in business development. The main activities of CBA include serving as a bridge between businesses and local authorities, business networking, trade promotion, engaging with domestic and international organizations, and providing support and training for entrepreneurs and skilled employees to meet the development needs of businesses and the city.

With the motto "Connect to Share - Cooperate to Succeed", over the past 20 years, despite facing initial difficulties and challenges, the CBA Executive Board throughout its various periods has united, been dynamic, innovative, self-reliant, and resilient, overcoming all difficulties and challenges. The association has achieved the success it enjoys today. CBA has actively expanded its cooperative relationships with organizations both domestically and internationally, especially with associations of provinces and cities. It has organized exchange programs, visits to member businesses, and conducted training courses and workshops to promote trade and business connections for its members. The association aims to enhance management capacity, professional qualifications, and share experiences in business with the business community in the city and neighboring provinces. Additionally, CBA has contributed significantly to the city's social welfare through various programs organized by the association, jointly organized events, and important contributions to Can Tho City's overall achievements in recent years.

During the conference, the CBA Executive Board added 8 more members to help with management and support for members, increasing the current number of board members to 25. At the same time, the conference expressed gratitude and awarded commemorative medals to 31 loyal and supportive CBA members who have been with the association throughout its 20 years of operation.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Duong Tan Hien, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee, congratulated and expressed gratitude to the CBA Executive Board throughout its various periods, along with the city's business community, for their efforts in overcoming difficulties, creating jobs, products, and services that have contributed to the development of Can Tho City's economy in recent years.

According to Mr. Duong Tan Hien, the conference demonstrates the trust and confidence of the business community inside and outside the city. This is another significant step that will further strengthen the development of the city's business community in the near future, aligning with the association's motto.

The Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee affirmed that CBA has truly become a reliable bridge between state management agencies and the business community. The city's leaders expressed their desire for the association to continue organizing and developing successful activities as it has done in recent times.

In addition, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee highly appreciates the CBA's support and assistance in all business activities, as well as their recommendations to resolve outdated policies and laws. Furthermore, the committee encourages the development of new, innovative, and breakthrough programs and activities to bring more value to its member businesses, contributing to the continuous growth of the city's business community and living up to its position as a central city in the Mekong Delta region.

Mr. Duong Tan Hien stated that the leadership of Can Tho City will continue to support stable and sustainable development of businesses, assisting them in overcoming challenges to further contribute to the local innovation, integration, and development. The restructuring of state-owned enterprises and the development of private economy will be prioritized to become important driving forces. The People's Committee will continue to be proactive and create a conducive legal business environment, facilitating strong business growth.
