According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), the tourism sector served about 9 million domestic tourists during Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday (from January 20 to January 26, 2023), an increase of approximately 47.5% over the previous Tet.

On January 27, Chairman of Can Tho city People's Committee Tran Viet Truong, Vice Chairman of Can Tho city People's Committee Nguyen Van Hong; leaders of municipal departments and agencies visited and presented gifts to a number of businesses and production facilities on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2023.

On December 20th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hau Giang province held a seminar on potential and opportunities for river tourism development on the Xa No canal connecting Can Tho with Hau Giang. The seminar aimed to assess the reality and find solutions to promote river tourism between the two localities, connect tour routes, and propose policies to support sustainable tourism development.

On the morning of January 13th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications and the Can Tho Journalists Association to organize the Can Tho Spring Press Festival and the Quy Mao Spring Publication Contest 2023 at Can Tho Museum. This year's Spring Press Festival brings together nearly 400 types of spring newspapers throughout the country.

On the morning of January 8, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Viet Truong attended the inauguration and put into operation of the Little Baby's Home Preschool - Em Maison Preschool Can Tho, organized by Pacific Education Joint Stock Company.

The Southwest is known as the land of rivers with two main streams, the Tien and Hau rivers. If including sub-tributaries, the Southwest has 37 rivers with a total length of 1,708km, and 137 large canals with a total length of 2,780km. Therefore, rivers and canals have left a pretty bold imprint on the spiritual life of the people here.

On the morning of January 10th, Chairman of Can Tho People's Committee Tran Viet Truong and Vice Chairman of Can Tho People's Council Nguyen Thanh Dong hosted a reception for a delegation from the Royal Cambodian Army Guards led by General Dieng Sarun, advisor to Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and vice commander of the High Command of the Cambodian Royal Army Guards.

On the morning of January 6th, Can Tho city hosts “The Colors of Spring in the Garden Land” 2023 at Can Tho Museum. This is one of the practical annual activities of Can Tho city to celebrate the Year of the cat in 2023.

On the morning of January 5th, Mr. Duong Tan Hien, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho city, hold a reception for the delegation of the Development Department under the Cambodian Ministry of Defense led by Deputy Director Lieutenant General Dong Mao on the occasion of Vietnam's traditional Lunar New Year (Tet).

From this school, nearly 30,000 Doctors, Pharmacists, Bachelors and nearly 10,000 masters, residents, specialists level I, specialists level II, doctorates have been trained and graduated, becoming important resources for the protection, care, and improvement of people's health, contributing to the socio-economic development of not only the Mekong Delta but also localities across the country.
