On March 21, the Department of Construction of Can Tho City, the Road and Sewerage Bureau of Japan's Fukuoka City, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on a technical cooperation project to enhance Can Tho’s drainage systems and resilience to climate change. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc He, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee, attended the signing ceremony.

On March 22, in Can Tho City, a working delegation from the People's Committee of Hanoi met and worked with the People's Committee of Can Tho to exchange experiences on science and technology development between the two cities in the coming period.

On March 21, Can Tho Maternity Hospital, in collaboration with the General Department of Population and Family Planning under the Ministry of Health, organized the 10th Scientific Conference on Prenatal and Newborn Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment in the Mekong Delta region. Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, attended the event.

On the morning of March 17, at Hau River Park in Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City, the Can Tho Union of Friendship Organizations, in collaboration with the Consulate General of India, organized the 2025 Friendship Tree Planting Ceremony as part of the Plant4Mother campaign. The event was attended by Mr. Vipra Pandey, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairwoman of the Can Tho City People’s Committee; and leaders of various departments and agencies of the city.

On the afternoon of March 17, Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, Chairman of the Can Tho City People’s Committee, along with leaders of various departments and agencies, held a reception for Mr. Vipra Pandey, Consul General of the Republic of India in Ho Chi Minh City, on the occasion of his courtesy visit to Can Tho. The meeting also aimed to discuss cooperation plans between Can Tho City and India, thereby contributing to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India.

The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Can Tho City is participating in a tourism promotion program for the Mekong Delta in China. The initiative aims to introduce and promote Can Tho’s tourism products to international markets with great potential.

Net Zero Tourism (zero emission tourism) - a type of tourism that causes little damage to the environment during operation, has been a popular trend globally in recent years. In Can Tho, Net Zero Tourism is creatively developed, bringing many unique experiences to tourists.

That was one of the directions of Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City at the Conference summarizing the results of receiving documents and returning results at the Can Tho City Public Administration Service Center in 2024; orientations and tasks in 2025, organized by Can Tho City People's Committee on the morning of March 4th at the City People's Committee Hall.

According to statistics from the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the country welcomed nearly 1.9 million international visitors in February 2025. This figure represents 90% of the arrivals recorded in January 2025 and marks a 130% increase compared to the same period in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the morning of March 7, Tran Quoc Toan Primary School (Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City) solemnly held a ceremony to receive and install the "Label FrancÉducation - School of Excellence in French Language Teaching" plaque, awarded by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of France. This event marked a significant milestone, recognizing the school’s relentless efforts in bilingual French education.
