On the afternoon of July 11th, the Can Tho City delegation led by Mr. Duong Tan Hien, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, had a meeting with the Embassy of Viet Nam in the Netherlands. Mr. Ngo Huong Nam, Ambassador of Vietnam to the Netherlands, hosted the reception for the delegations of Can Tho city.

(CTO) - Following the investment promotion trip to Europe, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, Mr. Duong Tan Hien, along with the city's delegation, recently had a meeting with De Heus Group from the Netherlands.

In line with the overall growth of Vietnamese tourism, Mekong Delta tourism as a whole, and Can Tho in particular, are expected to see an increase in the number of visitors and revenue in the first 6 months of 2024. This growth is expected to pave the way for further development in city tourism in the latter half of the year.

Leaders of Nam Can Tho University awarded scholarships worth over 4.2 billion VND for Lao students studying abroad at the university during the visit of Lao Deputy Minister of Education and Sports Samlane Phankhavong in Can Tho on July 12.

On July 8, Can Tho City leaders hold a working session with Mr. Bui Van Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly and Chairman of the National Assembly Office, Head of the NA’s supervisory delegation No. 03 on the implementation of policies and laws on real estate market management, social housing development from 2015 to the end 2023.

(CTO) – Continuing their working program in the Federal Republic of Germany, on July 9th, the Can Tho City delegation, led by Mr. Duong Tan Hien, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, had a meeting at Hamburg Port in Hamburg City (Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg). The Can Tho City delegation was welcomed by Mr. Daniel Jahn, Trade Coordinator, representing the Hamburg Port Authority SEC2-3 AöR; Ms. Anne Thiesen, representative of the German Business Association in Vietnam and Hong Kong, and the representative of the Hamburg Port Marketing Board for Southeast Asia.

(CTO) - On the morning of July 8th, the investment promotion delegation from Can Tho City, led by Mr. Duong Tan Hien, Pernament Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, visited and met with the authorities of Wernigerode, Federal Republic of Germany.

After 5 days, the 11th Phong Dien - Can Tho Ecotourism Festival, 2024, officially ended with the closing ceremony on the afternoon of July 9, at Phong Dien district square.

On July 10, Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee Nguyen Van Hieu hosted a reception for the Consulate-General of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City Pang Te Cheng. At the meeting, the two sides discussed several measures to enhance cooperation in various fields.

On July 7, Can Tho City Union of Friendship Organizations coordinated with Campus France Vietnam, the Union of Vietnam Students in France (UEVF), and Can Tho University to organize a forum on "Study Abroad in France" in Can Tho City.
