The People's Committee of Can Tho city requires Viet News Media and Entertainment Company to abide by the regulations on performing arts activities and comply with regulations on ensuring social security, environment, health, fire and explosion prevention, and fighting. Moreover, the company is also asked to ensure equity, publicity, and transparency in the organizational process. Besides, they have to regularly monitor and update the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic during the contest and the directions from the Prime Minister, the National Steering Committee, the People's Committee of Can Tho city on the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic (if the pandemic has not been under-controlled and still complicated, Viet News Company must accept to suspend or stop the Contest unconditionally).

on February 9th, 2021, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Can Tho city submitted a report to the municipal People's Committee about Viet NEWS Media and Entertainment company hosting the contest of “Tourism Ambassador of Cuu Long” 2021. The purpose of selecting candidates representing the Mekong Delta is to demonstrate the good human values and cultural identity of the Mekong region, thereby, introducing and promoting the traditional cultural quintessence to the public as well as contributing to preserving, promoting, and developing ethnic cultures in association with tourism - cultural - economic - social development in the current period. Furthermore, this is also an activity to attract and promote Can Tho tourism in particular, and the Mekong Delta tourism in general in the time when culture, sports, and tourism need to be promoted and restored.
