At the meeting, Mr. Simon Wong, General Director of SPG INVEST, introduced the history of the company, their fields of investment, and outstanding projects. Moreover, Mr. Simon Wong wanted to learn more about the project of Thoi Lai Industrial Park and other potential projects in Can Tho city in the fields of eco-city, high-tech agriculture, smart city, etc.

Mr. Truong Quang Hoai Nam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho city, said that Thoi Lai district had an advantageous position both in the riverway and the roadway to implement the industrial park project. Specifically, the project is located in the intersection area of many major roads. Furthermore, it is close to Thot Not port and Cai Cui port, in between Vam Cong bridge and Can Tho bridge, which is very convenient for trade and logistics. In addition, Mr. Nam also provided more information about the strengths and ongoing projects in Thot Not, Cai Rang and Phong Dien to give SPG INVEST more options for investment.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Truong Quang Hoai Nam highly welcomed SPG’s investment plan and pledged that Can Tho will create all possible conditions for investors to operate in the city. Mr. Nam also assigned the relevant Departments, Boards, and Branches of Can Tho to support investors in conducting site surveys, providing urban planning information and investment procedures to implement projects in accordance with law and regulations.
