The Vietnam International Agricultural Fair 2017 took place successfully as schedule. The fair attracted more than 450 booths of 300 units, enterprises from provinces, cities in the whole country, such as Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh, Can Tho, Quang Nam, Binh Duong, and some international joint stock companies from Korea, Japan, India, China, Taiwan, Germany, USA, Colombia, exhibiting machinery, agricultural equipment, plant varieties, processed agricultural products, clean and safe agricultural models and so on.  In which, there were many big companies specialized on machinery and agricultural equipment (Bui Van Ngo Company, Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery Corporation (VEAM), Buhler Farmilia Vietnam Company, Gold star Group, Lamico Company, Thuan Cuong, Level 1 Agents of Kubota, Yanmar companies) and chemical fertilizer companies (Can Tho Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, Lao Cai Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, Intelligent World Bio-Fertilizer Company, Yellow Crop Company, Bioted Company). Especially, there was the first participation 16 enterprises of Beijing Sunrising Company specialized in machinery and agricultural materials (China) in Vietnam International Agricultural Fair.

In the fair, many programs, activities were held for visitors and farmers such as: Workshops on “Mekong Delta farmers use Vietnam fertilizer as a priority”, “Developing High-tech Agriculture - Opportunities and Challenges”, “Shaping the Future Rice Supply Chain” and a Contest namely,“ The Festival Sticky Rice Tray and Folk Cakes”. Through these workshops, 180 contracts and 8 Memorandum of Understanding were signed; the turnover reached more than VND 100 billion.
