The photos were introduced in a chronological order by Can Tho Museum, making it easy for visitors to follow, like the films about Can Tho city during the past 15 years beginning with the picture of Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong hanging decision to recognize Can Tho city as a city directly under the Central Government on January 2, 2004. By this time, the people and land of Can Tho stepped into a new page in the process of integration and development.

Over the past 15 years, Can Tho, with an important role and strategic position of the region, has made efforts to construct and develop in many aspects, deserving to be the leading urban area of the Mekong Delta. That achievement is based on a stable political foundation, developing economy and the efforts of the whole people. The vivid proof is a picture in 2009, when the Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Truong Tan Sang awarded the Second –class Independence Medal to the soldiers and people of Can Tho. Visitors attend the exhibition and enjoy the photos will have a feeling as accompanying with the development of the city in pictures about opening Can Tho Bridge, Vo Van Kiet Street, General Hospital of the city and so on.

Works, in the urban area, as upgrading Luu Huu Phuoc and Ninh Kieu Quaff Park, building Pedestrian Bridge, VINCOM Plaza House and so on, have created a Can Tho, modern and developing. While in the suburban, viewers are interested in the immense paddy fields under the cultivation, the endless gardens with a lot of sweet fruits and the effective economic models of people in Tay Do. These are also the images that the visitors enjoy when discovering the beauty of Can Tho, a modern urban with rich characters.

In cultural and social aspects, the exhibition has introduced many pictures highlighted the important cultural events of Can Tho as well as the achievements in tourism, sport, and craft village and so on. Moreover, some examples of learning and training are introduced as typical people of Can Tho “Intelligence- Dynamism- Charity- Generosity- Elegance”. Nguyen Trong Dat, a student of Tay Do University said: “I am from Kien Giang province, I have come to Can Tho to study for 3 years but I found that Can Tho has developed very fast. By this exhibition, I understand more about the process of development in Can Tho during the past 15 years”. Ms Le Thi Hoa, a resident of Ninh Kieu district said: “My city is growing very fast, I love my city”

 These 120 photos are not really artwork and not be polished too much on technique, layout and light but they have expressed the vivid moments of Can Tho authentically over the past 15 years. Attending the exhibition, everybody will recall themselves into the process of construction and development of the city. The successfulness in studying, laboring and producing of the inhabitant is factor contributing to the fast growing of Can Tho.

15 years are not too long but Can Tho has had an unexpected change. Enjoying all the photos at the exhibition, everybody will love Can Tho more than ever.
