The photo exhibition on "August Revolution and Southern resistance war" is organized by Can Tho city Museum in collaboration with Zone 9 Military Museum and Museums of Mekong Delta’s provinces displaying 120 photos in order to introduce the first glorious win of the Vietnamese since the leadership of the Communist Party up until the success of the August Revolution together with the birth of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam which ended 100 years of French colonialism and opened a new historic era: The resistance war in the south as well as nine years fighting against the French. The exhibition aims to contribute to the education on national patriotism, the spirit of independence and sovereignty of Vietnam.
The exhibition - "The Archeological Treasures in the Southwest" held by the Museum of Can Tho city in collaboration with the Museum in the Southwest region has brought back the brilliant civilization of the ancient residents from the first century to the seventh century. The event also introduces to the public over 200 documents, images and objects made of various materials like metal, pottery and wood. The objects were used for different purposes like manufacturing, domestic work or spiritual events.
The two exhibitions contribute to the recall of the country’s traditions, the education on national patriotism, pride and responsibilities among Vietnamese generations, particularly among local youths.

The exhibition will last from 22/8/2018 to 15/12/2018 according to the weekly opening schedule as follows:
* Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: From 8am to 11am and from 2pm - 5pm.
* Saturdays, Sundays, holidays: From 8am to 11am and from 6:30pm to 9pm.
