On the morning of March 15th, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Science and Technology officially launched a health declaration system for tourists in airports, border gates, accommodation facilities, and restaurants nationwide for preventing COVID-19 disease.
The system is integrated into the Vietnam Health Declarations application conveniently for businesses and tourists.

The system will be integrated into the Vietnam Health Declarations application to help the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control track both domestic and international tourists in Vietnam and manage tourist activities in the context of the COVID-19 situation.

The system will be applied at 100% tourist establishments nationwide, including all entry points (airports, border gates); eating & drinking places (restaurants, hotels, bars...); accommodation facilities (hotel, motel, motel); amusement parks; recreation centers; convention centers and transportation across the country. To ensure the information collection, tourists entering these locations are required to scan the QR code.

The Vietnam Health Declarations application in 12 languages was officially launched on March 9th for foreign passengers and local people to declare their health conditions. Since then, the application has received 100,000 declarations. The implementation of this application will assist the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control in detecting the source of infection and controlling tourism activities in which the COVID-19 outbreak in Vietnam is complicated.

The health declaration system for tourists is implemented by Viettel Solutions. Director of Viettel Business Solutions Nguyen Manh Ho said that the system would help relevant agencies to accurately and flexibly monitor activities and health conditions of tourists as well as discovering cases and controlling the epidemic in the fastest and most effective manner.

As of 7 am on March 15th, Vietnam Public Health Emergency Operation Center informed that there have been 151 countries and territories or areas outside of China with reported confirmed cases of COVID-19.
