According to the report of Can Tho City Tourism Association, in 2018, the total number of visitors coming to Can Tho reached 8.4 million, an increase of 12.5% compared to 2017. In terms of accommodation services, the city received more than 2.6 million visitors, up by 21.7% in comparison with the same period last year; of which, the number of international visitors reached nearly 364,000, an increase of 19.2%. There were nearly 173,000 domestic and international visitors (Domestic tourists increased by 30%, and international tourists increased by 14.7% over the same period last year). Total revenue from tourism reached 3,785 billion VND, up by 30.6% over the same period, constituting 108% of the year plan.

In 2019, the Tourism Association prepares the fourth Congress (2019-2023) with the purpose to continue to improve the quality of tourism products and services; enhance the promotion of domestic and international tourism; build a good image of the tourist destinations as well as the city people to impress international visitors, etc.
