Leaders of Can Tho city congratulate Khmer people on Sene Dolta festival 2020

On September 15th, 2020, on the occasion of the Sene Dolta Festival of the Khmer people, the delegation of Can Tho city leaders with the presence of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dong, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Can Tho city; Mr. Duong Tan Hien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho city; Nguyen Ngoc Tam, Chairman of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front of Can Tho city, visited and gave gifts to Khmer revolutionists, and Buddhist dignitaries and followers the Association for the Solidarity of Patriotic Buddhist Monks, Muni Rang Say Pagoda (Ninh Kieu District); Khmer Theravada Buddhist Institute, Pothi Somrôn Pagoda (O Mon district); Seray Vongsa pagoda (Thoi Lai district). Mr. Tong Van Nhien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front of Can Tho city, together with representatives of several departments and agencies of the city, visited Pitu Khosa Rangsay Pagoda (An Cu ward, Ninh Kieu district), Sanvor Phothi Nhen Pagoda (Chau Van Liem ward, O Mon district) and Settodor pagoda (Co Do town, Co Do district).

The leaders of Can Tho city extended wishes of good health and happiness to all Khmer people and acknowledged the contribution of Buddhist dignitaries and Khmer people in the development of the city. At the same time, the city leaders wished that Buddhist dignitaries and Khmer people will uphold the spirit of solidarity, enhance the strength of the great national unity bloc, response to patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnamese Fatherland Front at all levels. Particularly, Can Tho city is currently in preparations for the 14th Party Delegates Congress of Can Tho city in terms of 2020 - 2025. Therefore, the city leaders hoped that Buddhist dignitaries will actively contribute ideas to build and develop the Party, the local government ... Thereby, contributing to building a rich, beautiful and civilized city of Can Tho.

Representatives from local pagodas and the Association for the Solidarity of Patriotic Buddhist Monks expressed thanks for the attention from Party, State, and local authorities. They also committed to encouraging the Khmer people to well implement the Party's guidelines, the State's policies, and laws as well as working together to help the city and country continue to develop.
