Can Tho strengthens COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control in tourism activities
Date: 11/01/2021

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City has just issued Official Letter No. 3905/SVHTTDL-QLDL, on strengthening COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control, to ensure a safe, friendly, and quality tourism environment in the New Year of 2021.
Visitors are recommended to always wear masks in public areas.

Agencies, units, and companies working in the tourism industry are requested to strictly implement the city directives and guidance No. 1450 / HD-SVHTTDL dated July 4th 2020 of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on implementing the criteria of safe tourism. Tourist agencies have to strictly implement measures for COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control. For example, keep disseminating the “5K” message of the Ministry of Health to protect people from the Covid-19 pandemic. Accommodation facilities require visitors to fill in information about their travel history, their health status, and who they have close contact with. Tourist agencies and companies will arrange staff on duty to ensure safety criteria while improving service quality, clearly listing prices to protect their reputations. The Management Board of Ninh Kieu Boat Terminal and the Management Board of An Binh Market Tourist Pier are requested to ensure the environmental beauty and remind ship owners to ensure that tourists are transported on schedule, at the right destination, and on time.

For more information, visitors can call the hotline: 0888.177.666

* 5K means “Khau trang” (face mask) - “Khu khuan” (disinfection) - “Khoang cach” (distance) - “Khong tu tap” (no gatherings) - “Khai bao y te” (health declaration).
