"

Mr. Le Hong Ha - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines said: “The Mekong Delta is a potential market, early invested and developed by Vietnam Airlines upon its establishment of a branch in Can Tho 10 years ago. In particular, Can Tho City is the main gateway with 7 direct flight routes to locals across the country. Through these routes, Vietnam Airlines expects to contribute to the improvement of Can Tho International Airport and to contribute to the tourism and economic development of the local as well as of other provinces and cities that have connecting routes with Can Tho airport, especially in the context that the whole country is attempting to redevelop its tourism industry and its economy upon the new normal period. ”

At the seminar, the units and delegates discussed solutions to enhance tourist attractions to the Mekong Delta in general and to Can Tho City in particular. Some key solutions have been proposed such as making a preferential package of air ticket price - tour - hotel; promoting communication, promoting and diversifying tourism products; promoting spaces, characteristics of traditional local cultures, and improving the quality of safety services.

Currently, Vietnam Airlines Group is operating 7 routes connecting Can Tho City directly with Hai Phong, Hanoi, Vinh, Da Nang, Buon Ma Thuot, Con Dao, Phu Quoc.
