With the theme of Preserving and developing the culture of Cai Rang Floating Market, this year's festival takes place on August 1-3 (the opening ceremony takes place on the evening of July 31), at the destination of Cai Rang Floating Market (at 17/2 Vo Tanh street, Yen Thuan area, Le Binh ward, Cai Rang district). Accordingly, there are about 14 activities: boat parade, on-river garbage collection, fairs, tourism promotion, Taekwondo martial arts festival, dragon boat racing ... This year, the festival has many new activities, which increase the experience and interaction with visitors: a buffet of fruits and folk cakes on floating rafts (free), social security activities (ATM of clean water for traders, offering boats for poor traders, environmental activities), exhibiting and introducing agricultural - tourism products, connecting and introducing tourist destinations in the district through free tours (on August 1-3, tour registration before July 31). In addition, this festival also has a conference on Solutions for preserving and development of Cai Rang Floating Market, aiming to make recommendations and solutions to preserve and promote the identity of floating market culture associated with tourism.

Mr. Vuong Cong Khanh, Vice Chairman of Cai Rang District People's Committee, said: “In addition to regular activities, this year's event will have more new activities connecting to tourist destinations in the area, and emphasizing roles and responsibilities for preservation and development of floating markets.
