Representatives of airlines said that Can Tho City is the center of the Mekong Delta. Therefore, the aviation activities in Can Tho not only serve the locality but also the whole region. Airline companies are willing to open more routes from Can Tho City to other cities if they receive support from the city government in promoting and building a dynamic investment environment to attract investors. At the same time, it is necessary to develop special tourism programs as well as high quality accommodation services.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Truong Quang Hoai Nam, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee stressed that in order to maintain flight routes, it is necessary to have good tourism products. In addition to support, Department of Culture and Sports and Tourism should be proactive to coordinate with travel agencies, airlines, hotels and restaurants to promote tourism and accelerate the progress of investment projects on tourism. Department of Transportation should research to build public transport services connecting Can Tho International Airport to the city center and key tourist areas. At the same time, enhance connection of feeder routes to other tourist destinations throughout the country and pay attention to promote flights from Can Tho to other destinations in investment promotion activities.
