The Buckwheat Flower Garden, is located on Truong Vinh Nguyen Street, Cai Rang District. To get there, take National Road 1, then starting from the IC3 intersection cross the Ap My Bridge, on our left will be Truong Vinh Nguyen Street, and the site is 200 meters on the left.

The person who turned this weed-covered land into a painting-like flower field is Mr. Do Duc Trong, a 26-year-old agricultural engineer. Trong tells us that this land belonged to his teacher at the university. With the collaboration of the other students, they transformed it into a beautiful flower garden.

In this garden, covering an area of around 3000 square meters, planting flowers only started almost 3 months ago. Ever since the project was born, Mr. Trong wanted to find a “unique and rare” flower species to plant next to the flowers that are grown in Can Tho. He once bought buckwheat seeds found on the Internet which he sowed, but without much success. This experience allowed him to learn the characteristics of these flowers on a limestone plateau. During a new test, success is evident on an area of 50m2, very beautiful buckwheat flowers are currently blooming. In addition, this garden has other areas for sunflowers, cosmos, Indian roses, chrysanthemums ... very beautiful to see.

Mr. Trong tells us that buckwheat only adapts well to cool or cold climates, although it is quite hot in Can Tho. So, watering and caring for the plants to get them used to the new environment is truly an achievement thanks to the experiences he has gained over the days. Indeed, buckwheat flowers in Can Tho are smaller and whiter than those found in Ha Giang which are more pinkish. However, the exploitation of the producers and the presence in Can Tho of these small, slender, and romantic flowers have won over tourists.

To attract tourists, Mr. Trong and his team have recreated different scenes in this garden: the countryside of the Southwest, the image of Dalat with its romanticism and reveries, the region of central mountains with their majestic beauty ... In particular, in the bamboos, bands of bright red fabric were hung, creating a “lucky tree”. All of these creations are magnificent, and visitors from the moment they arrive feel as though they are living in a world of flowers. Ms. Le Ngoc Tuyet, a visitor from Ninh Kieu neighborhood, said: “Until now I could only see buckwheat flowers on the internet or on TV, now I can take pictures in this field of flowers. This is so wonderful”. As for Nguyen Ngoc Duyen Tran, a student, recounted her playfulness: “I took pictures here and then I showed them to my friends telling them that I had just returned from Hà Giang, everyone believed it. . And when I said it was in Can Tho, they couldn't believe their eyes and all asked me to take them there”.
