This annual event showcases the tourism of Can Tho City, with a particular focus on the Cai Rang floating market for domestic and international tourists. The activity aims to promote and highlight the cultural significance of the Cai Rang floating market while working to preserve and develop it. The festival also offers an opportunity to promote agricultural products and local goods, build tour connections, and enhance tourism overall.

This year's festival will take place for three days, from November 30 to December 2, at the Cai Rang floating market stop at No. 17/2 Vo Tanh Street in the Yen Thuan area of Le Binh Ward, Cai Rang District. The festival will feature various activities, including an opening ceremony, a boat parade on the river, booths promoting tourism and trade, a decoration contest, and displays of models of boats, ships, and poles used for buying and selling agricultural products at the floating market. There will also be sports tournaments, social security activities, booths showcasing agricultural products and cuisine, and the second contest, "The Beauty of Old Ao Ba Ba." A new highlight of this year’s festival is the introduction of the Tong Phong ceremony at the Ba Xom Chai Temple, which showcases the unique cultural beauty of life in the river region.
