At the meeting, Mr. Fujii Yoshikazu shared that Fukuoka City has developed many advanced techniques and has extensive experience in wastewater treatment since the 1970s. These experiences can be applied to projects in Can Tho City. In addition to wastewater treatment, Fukuoka City collaborates with many local businesses to implement projects abroad. Mr. Fujii Yoshikazu hopes that upcoming economic exchange projects between businesses from the two cities will be established, fostering further cooperation between the two cities in the near future.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the potential for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation, focusing on drainage management and economic exchange, as proposed by the Fukuoka city government. According to Mr. Fujii Yoshikazu, the proposed MoU aims to further strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two sides and establish a solid foundation for long-term cooperative relations between the two cities in the future.

Mr. Duong Tan Hien, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee, appreciated the cooperation proposals from the delegation and agreed with the signing of the MoU between the two cities in the near future. He also stated that the Department of Planning and Investment will coordinate with relevant departments and sectors to discuss specific cooperation contents between the two sides. Based on this, the People's Committee will direct the Department of Foreign Affairs to advise the People's Committee on submitting a document to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for approval regarding the signing of the aforementioned MoU.
