Mr. Kelvin Teo briefly introduced VSIP Group's projects and development orientation at the working session with Can Tho city authorities. Specifically, VSIP focuses on developing industrial parks (IPs) and urban areas which are environmentally friendly, sustainable, and composed of modern green services. The VSIP ecosystem has attracted over 15 billion USD and created jobs for 300 thousand direct workers. The group's success in the construction and business of the IP infrastructure system in recent years has become a typical model of the country and an outstanding symbol of economic cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore.

Informing VSIP group’s project on developing and operating the infrastructure of the local Vinh Thanh Industrial Park (VSIP Can Tho), Mr. Kelvin Teo said major customers from Japan, the Republic of Korea (RoK), and Europe are looking to secure land for factory construction in the second and third quarters of 2024. He also expressed his desire to cooperate with Can Tho City to call for foreign investors in green and sustainable industries, thus serving Can Tho City's sustainable development.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Secretary of Can Tho Municipal Party Committee, said that Vietnam Government pays attention to developing industrial parks and creates all favorable conditions for the development of the VSIP Can Tho industrial park.

VSIP Can Tho is the first large-scale industrial park of the Mekong Delta and a driving force for the development of the whole region, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu said, noting that work is underway for land to be handed over to investors serving the launch of their projects next year. The development of the VSIP Can Tho project in Vinh Thanh district is considered as one of the outstanding activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam - Singapore strategic partnership.

Secretary of Can Tho Municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Hieu suggested the VSIP Group call for investment in agro-fishery processing, logistics, and warehouses. He expected the VSIP Can Tho project to become a major center for food processing and distribution and infrastructure development in the Mekong Delta, contributing to the city’s restructuring and sustainable socio-economic growth.
