The VPBank Can Tho Music Night Run 2024 is organized by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Can Tho City, VPBank, and Nexus Sport Events. With over 5,000 participants, the run offers three distances: 21km, 10km, and 5km, starting from Song Hau Park and passing through famous landmarks such as Ninh Kieu Pedestrian Street, Ninh Kieu Night Market, President Ho Chi Minh Statue, Can Tho Stadium, and the old ferry terminal. The total value of prizes amounts to over 600 million VND. In addition to the main prizes for the three distances, there are also additional awards such as Couple Run, age group awards, and cosplay awards. Prior to the main event, on the morning of April 13th, around 1,500 young athletes competed in the 800m Kun Happy Run Can Tho for children aged 5 to 11.

Athletes participating in the race will pass through various famous landmarks in Can Tho, such as Song Hau Park, Ninh Kieu Pedestrian Street, Ninh Kieu Night Market, Ninh Kieu Bridge, President Ho Chi Minh Statue, Cai Khe Bridge, Nguyen Trai Fashion Street, Can Tho Stadium, the old ferry terminal, and Khuong Islet… Through this, participants will have the opportunity to explore the unique cultural values of the Can Tho region.

The run will take place along scenic routes, combining famous attractions of Can Tho with modern lighting and music.

The water stations along the running route are designed as modern music stages with dynamic performances from "igniting" bands to inspire the athletes' every step, making them stronger and more determined. With the message "Music Makes You Move," the VPBank Can Tho Music Night Run 2024 brought thousands of participants moments of exhilaration with music combined with an impressive, vibrant, and lively sports atmosphere in the land of Tay Do. With the initial success, the VPBank Can Tho Music Night Run is expected to become a world-class sports and tourism festival, expanding the distance to a professional level (42km) and attracting international athletes to participate in 2025.

According to him, the VPBank Can Tho Music Night Run 2024 not only has significant meaning in promoting exchange, strengthening unity, and fostering noble sportsmanship but also plays a particularly important role in promoting physical training and exercise for everyone. The event also contributes positively to the local tourism development and encourages the people of Can Tho to participate more in the movement of "Running for joy, running for health."
