On March 13th, Can Tho City People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City held a conference to sign a set of working coordination regulations. The conference served as an opportunity for Can Tho City People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City to evaluate their work coordination process in recent times.

The conference had the participation of Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Deputy Secretary of Can Tho Municipal Party Committee and Chairman of Can Tho Municipal People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Member of Can Tho Municipal Party Standing Committee and Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of Can Tho Municipal Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Can Tho Municipal People's Council as well as representatives of departments, agencies, unions of Can Tho City.

At the conference, Can Tho Municipal People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City presented the results of their coordination program, which included propaganda work, mobilization of members to carry out patriotic emulation movements, coordination of ethnic affairs and policies for ethnic minorities in the city, and the development of policies and laws. Following the presentations, the two committees signed the Regulations on work coordination.

The Regulation on Coordination of Work between Can Tho Municipal People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City comprises 4 chapters and 19 articles. The coordination covers various aspects such as gathering and building great national unity, ethnic and religious tasks, propaganda and advocacy tasks, protecting the legal and legitimate rights and interests of the people, developing policies and laws, election activities, supervision, social criticism, inspection, and supervision activities, prevention and combat of corruption, waste, and negativity, making recommendations, resolving and responding to the recommendations of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, people's foreign affairs, information exchange, and joint work. The implementation of these coordination regulations is critical for the successful implementation of the Action Plan of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Can Tho City, and a premise for Can Tho people to contribute to the successful implementation of the city's socio-economic tasks as per the spirit of Resolution No. 45/2022/QH15 of the National Assembly and Decision No. 1519/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister. Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City Nguyen Trung Nhan emphasized that the above coordination regulations' implementation is a significant highlight for the successful implementation of the program.

The official also stated that the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City will include the content of this Coordination Regulation into the annual operating program of the committee's term, in accordance with the Coordination Regulations.

At the conference, Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Deputy Secretary of Can Tho Municipal Party Committee, Chairman of Can Tho Municipal People's Committee, highlighted the successful cooperation between the two committees. He emphasized that in recent years, both agencies have closely worked together to implement important political, economic, cultural, and social tasks of the city. This implementation of coordination work has greatly assisted Can Tho Municipal People's Committee in effectively managing, directing, and operating the city's socio-economic development tasks.

Chiarman Tran Viet Truong has announced that Can Tho Municipal People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City will work together to achieve key objectives following the signing of the Coordination Regulations. They will focus on mobilizing people to achieve economic, cultural, and social development goals, and ensure national defense and security in the city. They will also work towards implementing the National target program to build new rural areas, reduce poverty, and ensure sustainable social security. They will launch and respond to patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, programs, and socio-economic development projects. Additionally, they will coordinate the implementation of ethnic and religious work, elections of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels, as well as social supervision and criticism. They will resolve complaints, denunciations, opinions, and recommendations of voters and people, and guide and improve the operational efficiency of the People's Inspection Board and the Community Investment Supervision Board. They will also coordinate the implementation of anti-corruption, waste, and negative activities and people's foreign affairs.

To achieve high efficiency, Chairman Tran Viet Truong has requested departments and agencies under Can Tho City People's Committee and agencies of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City to work together and ensure unity, synchronization, and effectiveness in the process of implementing specific coordination contents in each field of work between Can Tho City People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City.
