According to the Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation, the two sides will content coordinate to organize trade promotion activities, business forums, fairs, exhibitions, seminars, conferences, as well as programs to introduce the image of Can Tho City in Korea and vice versa and promote cooperation for businesses of both sides; create favorable conditions in supporting and encouraging members of the Vietnam-Korea Businessmen and Investment Association (VKBIA) and local business associations in production, investment, and trade promotion activities in Can Tho City, thereby, promoting the expansion and development of domestic and foreign markets; support the consumption of goods and services for enterprises of Korea Can Tho city; all cooperation activities before being implemented need to be discussed and agreed on the objectives, results, implementation methods and specific responsibilities of the two parties.

The delegation of Can Tho City led by Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc He will work in Korea and Japan from May 28 to June 4, 2023. Through the trip, Can Tho authorities aim to expand cooperation with several partners in Korea and Japan and introduce the city’s strengths and orientations to attract foreign investment as well as the city’s projects (logistics center for linkage, production, processing, and consumption of agricultural products in the Mekong Delta and Logistics center class II under Mekong Economic Subregion in Can Tho city) to businesses in Korea and Japan.
