At the meeting, the representative of Miyazaki Prefecture's delegation said that their visit and field study in Can Tho City aimed at researching and understanding agricultural production activities in several establishments in the city. On that basis, they want to establish a favorable working environment for Vietnamese workers when coming to work in Miyazaki province.
Additionally, Miyazaki Prefecture wishes to cooperate with Can Tho City in agriculture and personnel training in this sector. Through this collaboration, workers will be provided with scientific and technical knowledge about animal husbandry, plant protection measures, how to use fertilizers effectively, and how to improve soil quality.
Chairman of Can Tho Municipal People's Committee Tran Viet Truong informed the Japanese delegation about Can Tho's potential for agricultural development, which includes exporting rice, fisheries, and other agricultural products. He also emphasized that educational institutes in Can Tho City have extensive experience in training human resources in the agriculture sector. Therefore, Chairman Tran Viet Truong expressed his desire to cooperate with Miyazaki Prefecture in personnel training, especially in the farming sector.
