The cooperation plan in 2024 focuses on state management, tourism promotion, building tourism products, human resource development, and investment attraction. Ho Chi Minh City and 13 Mekong Delta localities have co-organized a number of activities and events such as a tourism cooperation forum, a summary conference with an implementation plan, and a Joint Cooperation Program to develop tourism in Ho Chi Minh City and 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta. The Association also conducts a Tourist Destination Voting Program to promote attractive tours of Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta provinces and cities. They have initiated a space to connect tourist attractions and tourism service providers between Ho Chi Minh City and 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta and are developing a project to link tourism products in the region.

Moreover, this year’s cooperation plan aims to promote tourism by organizing common spaces to display, exhibit, and introduce destinations, tourism products, and OCOP products of Ho Chi Minh City and 13 localities in the Mekong Delta. These activities will be featured at the 20th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival in 2024.

Ho Chi Minh City will be supporting 13 localities in the Mekong Delta by helping them participate in tourism promotion and marketing activities in key foreign markets. This will be done in accordance with Ho Chi Minh City's foreign tourism promotion plan and the tourism promotion plan of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration.

Additionally, Ho Chi Minh City will promote the tourist destinations of 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta on the 3D/360 smart map application platform. The city will also support the Mekong Delta localities regarding content and human resources.

Furthermore, Ho Chi Minh City will organize the competition for Start-up and innovation in tourism in Ho Chi Minh City and 13 localities in the Mekong Delta. The city will also provide information on investment support in the tourism sector of Mekong Delta localities at events and investment promotion forums in Ho Chi Minh City.
