Khanh Hoa is a South-Central Coastal province of Vietnam. It is well known for the attractive beauty of its capital - Nha Trang. Khanh Hoa province offers visitors diverse types of tourism products such as eco‑tourism, sightseeing, and community tourism. Its tours to explore Nha Trang at night and watch puppet shows at Vietnam’s top theater have attracted a lot of tourists, including those from the Mekong Delta.

Khanh Hoa and 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region are endowed by nature with rich natural resources and beautiful landscapes along with a unique culture, fantastic festivals, and friendly people. Each province has its special tourism products which complement each other for tourism cooperation.

The conference on tourism development cooperation between Khanh Hoa and the Mekong Delta region.

Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa province’s Tourism Department Phan Dinh Phung said the Mekong Delta’s pleasant weather all year round and unique tourism products built around its many rivers make it a favorite destination for visitors from Khanh Hoa. He suggested that localities should strengthen advertisement and communication to attract tourists, offering them opportunities to experience life in the Mekong Delta, especially during the flood season. Particularly, from December to February next year, travel agencies from both sides should organize tours to celebrate the New Year Festival in Khanh Hoa and the Mekong River Delta.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Can Tho City Dao Thi Thanh Thuy said: “Khanh Hoa has become a tourist destination with diverse types of tourism products thanks to its landscape, climate, and history. Through several suggestions and recommendations in the Conference, Can Tho City will create more attractive tourist products and fully prepare a safe and friendly infrastructure to connect tourism between Can Tho, the Mekong Delta provinces, Khanh Hoa province, and the Central region.”

At the Conference, representatives of localities also expected the Nha Trang-Can Tho flight route to be reopened soon to facilitate trade and tourism between Khanh Hoa Province and Mekong Delta localities. Moreover, there should be incentives on ticket prices for tourists from Khanh Hoa provinces traveling to the Mekong Delta region and vice versa.
