Products displayed at the fair include: high-tech agricultural machinery and equipment, production and processing lines and auxiliary products used in agriculture; agricultural materials, fertilizers, pesticides, products serving the agricultural sector; supporting technology for high-tech agriculture, post-harvest preservation techniques; processed products from agricultural, forestry and aquatic products; introducing the achievements of agriculture, industry and commerce, riverine ecotourism, distinctive agricultural products, OCOP products, and key products of Can Tho City; high-quality and economically efficient crop varieties and fruit products; commercial products and consumer goods serving farmers and rural areas; regional cuisine and specialties...

Within the framework of the fair, there are also many activities such as: Conference “Announcing the planning of Agriculture and Rural Development sector of Can Tho City for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050”; Workshop “Introducing Ecobiznet's microbial products in the agricultural sector in Vietnam”; Technology and equipment market specialized in Agriculture in Can Tho 2024 - Tech4Agri Can Tho 2024; trade promotion programs, supply and demand connection and program connecting manufacturers and distributors; nightly cultural exchanges at the fair stage...

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thuc Hien - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City - believed that the Vietnam International Agricultural Fair in 2024 will be an effective bridge, an important trade promotion channel to create favorable conditions for localities, economic organizations and enterprises to seek business cooperation opportunities, expand the consumption and export markets of agricultural products, exchange and sign many high-value trade contracts, creating opportunities for building and enhancing the value of agricultural product brands, promoting the regional and international integration process for Vietnamese enterprises.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thuc Hien, through many times of organization, the Agricultural Fair has contributed to promoting trade promotion activities, strengthening trade connections, cooperation in developing high-tech agriculture, creating conditions for businesses to promote their brands, expand markets, honor the value of agricultural, forestry and aquatic products, and introduce scientific advances and new achievements in agricultural production. Besides, this is also an opportunity to introduce the potential and strengths in general and of the agricultural sector in particular of the Mekong Delta provinces to associations, businesses, and domestic and foreign investors.

At the opening ceremony, a cooperation agreement was signed between Can Tho Promotion Agency, Dong Thap Center for Trade, Tourism and Investment Promotion and An Giang Trade and Investment Promotion Center. Thereby, it contributes to promoting regional linkages in trade and investment promotion activities between the three above-mentioned localities.
