Attending the exhibition opening ceremony was Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Dat, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Commander of the 9th Military Region; Major General Ho Van Thai, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the 9th Military Region; Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City; leaders of the Military Region agencies, representatives of the leadership of various departments, committees, organizations in Can Tho City, Ninh Kieu District, An Cu Ward, along with a large number of students from high schools and secondary schools in the Ninh Kieu District.

President Ho Chi Minh - the heroic figure of national liberation, an outstanding cultural figure, and a brilliant leader of the Party and the Vietnamese people. Not only that, but President Ho Chi Minh was also a resilient revolutionary fighter and a close friend of people around the world. He dedicated his entire life to the cause of revolutionary national liberation and made significant contributions to the global revolutionary movement for peace, national independence, democracy, and social progress.

With over 300 photographs and artifacts as valuable sources, the thematic exhibition is divided into three sections: Part One: President Ho Chi Minh - Hero of National Liberation; Part Two: President Ho Chi Minh - Outstanding Vietnamese Cultural Figure; and Part Three: The Armed Forces of the 9th Military Region Emulating "Studying and Following the Ideology, Morality, and Style of Ho Chi Minh." For over 60 years, from his youth to his last moments, President Ho Chi Minh dedicated his entire life to the revolutionary cause of our people and the people of the world. With a deep love for the country, President Ho Chi Minh embraced Marxism-Leninism at an early stage and creatively applied it to the national context, guiding the Vietnamese Revolution from one victory to another. He symbolizes the essence of the Vietnamese nation, representing the resilient and indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people throughout our four thousand years of history in nation-building and preservation.

During the exhibition opening ceremony, Major General Ho Van Thai, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the 9th Military Region, shared insights into the background and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, as well as the significance of the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Call for Patriotic Emulation. He also highlighted how the exhibition portrays the activities of the Armed Forces of the 9th Military Region in the movement of emulating "Studying and Following the Ideology, Morality, and Style of Ho Chi Minh."

Major General Ho Van Thai stated, "This is also an occasion for the present generations to express infinite gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, thereby promoting the dissemination and education of patriotism, the spirit of independence, autonomy, and national pride. Through this, each of us becomes aware of our personal responsibility in preserving and promoting the precious traditional values of the nation, elevating the revolutionary will, fostering unity, and striving together to cultivate and develop the ethics of communist individuals. Actively studying and enhancing our capabilities in all aspects contribute to the successful realization of the goals and tasks set forth in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels, leading the country's renewal efforts to achieve greater and more comprehensive achievements, steadfastly advancing on the path towards socialism. Therefore, this annual meaningful activity will continue to serve as a space for the Vietnamese people and international visitors to express gratitude and reverence for the life and career of the great President Ho Chi Minh."

The thematic exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh - Hero of National Liberation - Outstanding Vietnamese Cultural Figure" opens to serve visitors from May 11, 2023, until June 30, 2023, at the 9th Military Region Museum in Can Tho.
