According to tradition, the early days of the lunar new year are a time for visiting temples and communal houses to pray for a peaceful and prosperous year ahead. As a result, sites such as the Temple of Hung Kings, Binh Thuy Communal House, Nam Nha Pagoda (Binh Thuy District), Ong Pagoda (Ninh Kieu District), and Truc Lam Phuong Nam Zen Monastery (Phong Dien District) have attracted large numbers of visitors.

Tran Thi My Tien, a tourist from Vĩnh Long, shared: “During the first days of the lunar new year, while visiting relatives in Can Tho, we stopped by Truc Lam Phuong Nam Zen Monastery. The atmosphere here is so serene, and the scenery is beautiful. We also took some family photos as a keepsake.”

The festive atmosphere is even livelier at major tourist sites such as Cantho Eco Resort and My Khanh Tourist Village. These locations welcome thousands of visitors daily, with peak crowds between Tet's first and fourth days.

With new investments in attractions and services for the holiday season—including the Spring Festival Dance, Tet-themed film studio, and Eco Flower Village—Cantho Eco Resort has drawn significant crowds, receiving over 14,000 visitors from the first to the fourth day of Tet.

Vuong Trong Khang, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said: “This place offers experiences suitable for the whole family, from children to adults. The space here truly captures the essence of Tet in the Mekong Delta. We especially enjoyed the various activities available.”

The rustic countryside atmosphere is a major draw for visitors seeking an authentic Mekong Delta experience. Ecotourism gardens in Phong Dien, Binh Thuy, and Cai Rang have maintained a steady flow of visitors.

Doan Thi Thu Ha, a tourist from Hanoi, shared her impressions: “The ecological gardens in Can Tho are so refreshing, with lush greenery and a peaceful atmosphere. We rowed small boats, fished, picked fresh fruit, and enjoyed authentic local cuisine. It’s a simple experience but incredibly enjoyable.”

One of the most visited attractions during this Tet holiday is Can Tho’s Artistic Flower Street. This beautifully decorated venue has become a must-visit spot for check-ins and social media photos.

Lam Thi Phuong Loan, a tourist from Hau Giang, said: “I saw people posting stunning pictures online, so my family decided to visit Can Tho’s Artistic Flower Street too. Even if we’re not traveling far this holiday, coming here is still a lot of fun.”

Despite limited operations during Tet, Cai Rang Floating Market continues to attract large numbers of visitors, particularly international ones. While many traders have taken their boats home for the holiday, some smaller boats remain active. According to travel agencies, boat tours of the floating market remain popular among visitors during the Tet season.
