The conference had the participation of Mr. Nguyen Thuc Hien, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee; Mr. Hoang Viet Phuong, Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee and representatives of the departments, sectors, and travel agencies in the Mekong Delta localities and Tuyen Quang Province.

This year’s festival aims to promote tourism products and the image of the land, people, and cultural heritage values of Tuyen Quang province.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang Province Au Thi Mai said that following a successful event of Tuyen Quang Tourism Year 2023, the province will host the 14th tourism program, “Through Viet Bac Heritage Sites” and Tuyen Quang City’s Festival 2023 on September 20-27 in Tuyen Quang City. The program for tourism development cooperation will bring together six provinces in the Viet Bac region, including Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang, and Tuyen Quang.

Mr. Hoang Viet Phuong, Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee, said that Tuyen Quang is a land rich in cultural, historical, and revolutionary traditions where there is the origin, convergence, and interference of cultural nuances of ethnic groups in the northern mountainous region. Tuyen Quang has many unique, attractive landscapes and rich, diverse natural resources. Tuyen Quang has very favorable conditions for the development of various types of tourism, notably: historical tourism, ecotourism, spiritual tourism, and festival tourism, with more than 40 folk and traditional festivals held during the year. Particularly, Thanh Tuyen Festival, a unique cultural and tourist product of Tuyen Quang, is held periodically during Mid-Autumn Festival every year.

According to Vice Chairman Hoang Viet Phuong, the year 2023 is the first year Tuyen Quang province implements the project to renovate the organization of Thanh Tuyen Festival in the 2023 – 2025 period, with the main goal of building and developing the festival into a tourism product recognized as national and international brands. Therefore, within the framework of this year’s Festival, there will be a series of very unique and attractive cultural, sports, and tourism activities that are meticulously and carefully prepared on a regional and national scale. In particular, Thanh Tuyen Night’s program is held on a national scale, with the participation of six provinces in the Viet Bac region, two countries that have cooperative and friendly relations with Tuyen Quang, namely South Korea and Laos. The program is broadcast live on VTV1, Tuyen Quang newspaper online, social media, and the Provincial Radio and Television Station.

Moreover, “Through Viet Bac Heritage Sites” for tourism development cooperation will bring together six provinces in the Viet Bac region, including Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang, and Tuyen Quang. Many cultural activities will be held within the framework of the program, including an exhibition showcasing typical tourism products of the six participating localities, a “Cinema- heritage connection and Tuyen Quang tourism” program, a trade and tourism fair, and more. These events will be held from September 20 to 27 in Tuyen Quang City.

Through these events, Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong wishes to attract domestic and foreign investors to explore investment cooperation opportunities in various fields, especially tourism.
