South Korea remained the largest source market of Vietnam tourism in the first seven months of this year with 1.9 million visitors, accounting for one-third of total international visitors to our country. It was followed by China (738,000) and the United States (445,000). In Europe, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany were the three biggest source markets.
Starting August 15, Vietnam will extend the validity of tourist's e-visas to 90 from 30 days, with multiple entries, and triple the duration of visa-free stays for visitors from certain countries to 45 days. The adjustment of the visa policy will create favorable conditions for international travelers to stay longer in Vietnam, thus giving a boost to the tourism industry after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many localities organize tourism promotion activities in August, such as the first Ho Chi Minh City River Festival in 2023 (from August 4th to August 6th), Hue Festival 2023 - Autumn Festival, etc. Can Tho City is promoting tourism in many international markets, especially India.
