Woori Bank entered Vietnam with its first office in Hanoi in 1997 and strengthened localization with the establishment of Vietnam Woori Bank in 2017. Since then, Vietnam Woori Bank has continuously expanded its business network in proportion to the outstanding growth of the Vietnamese economy. With the opening of the Can Tho branch, Woori Bank Vietnam has established a network of 21 branches throughout Vietnam, including expansion into all five major cities.

General Director of Woori Bank Vietnam Park Jong Il said that the establishment of the branch is part of the Korean lender’s strategy to boost its business activities in Vietnam, hoping to bring the best financial services and products to local residents and businesses.

Woori Bank offers a diversity of financial services to individual and business customers, he said, adding the bank also provides financial consultancy for Korean firms who are going to break into the Vietnamese market. 

Since 1997, the bank has operated robustly and contributed to the Vietnam - Republic of Korea friendship, according to Korean Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Shin Choong Il.
