Cai Rang Floating Market

Cai Rang Floating Market is a very familiar address when it comes to tourism in Can Tho. The market majors in trading fruits, agricultural products of the region. Every morning, hundreds of boats moor in close proximity to one anothert, hanging the products being sold on the boat that do not need to cry loudly like on the mainland. Coming to market in the morning, apart from buying specialties, tourists also can have breakfast and experience the enjoyable life on a floating boat.

Binh Thuy Ancient House

The house is located on Bui Huu Nghia Street, Binh Thuy Ward, Binh Thuy District, Can Tho City, having French-style architecture with 5 compartments and 2 roofs. The building were built by the Duong family in 1870.

Having great values in culture and architecture, this is a rare template of ancient houses left intact to help researchers study the daily life, culture and the development over time of residents in Mekong delta.

Bang Lang Stork Sanctuary

Located at Thoi An Hamlet, Thoi Thuan commune, Thot Not District, Can Tho City, it is one of the largest bird sanctuarys of the Delta. If tourists come in spring, they will see Lagerstroemia flowers blooming on both sides of the river. To contemplate the beauty and life of bird flocks here, tourists shall come in the early morning to see flocks of storks spread out for food, and return in late afternoon.

Fruit Orchards

Many orchards laden with fruits are located around the Can Tho City. A lot of large fruit orchards for visitors like My Khanh, Sau Duong’s orchard, Ba Cong orchard, Muoi  Cuong cocoa garden, Binh Thuy orchid garden, orchards along the river routes of Phong Dien and Phung Hiep and many other home gardens for tourists in O Mon and Thot Not.

Ba Bo Flower Village

Ba Bo flower village is considered as one of the tourist attractions in Can Tho contributing to enrich the Orchards tour at Binh Thuy District. In 2015, it had nearly 250 gardener households with main flowers such as marigolds, sunflowers, ixora species, apricot blossoms and roses.

With an area of nearly 20 hectares, tourists can leisurely contemplate and take photos to capture memories with different gardens.

Ninh Kieu Quay

The streets in Ninh Kieu Quay always attract tourists to visit and go shopping.

Being a symbol of youth and development of Can Tho City. Ninh Kieu Quay attracts tourists by the charming river scenery and views of the Hau River. Located on the right bank of the Hau River, at the confluence of Hau River and Can Tho River, Ninh Kieu Quay is not only famous for promenade, but also as a place for young people, tourists to meet and gather for dining.

The Southern Truc Lam Zen Monastery is located on an area of 4 hectares in My Khanh Commune, Phong Dien District, Can Tho City. The Monastery is in the Lo Vong Cung historical site, a few hundred meters from My Khanh Orchard and 15 km from the city center. The landscapes and architectural culture of Ly - Tran Dynasty at the largest temple of the Western region of Mekong Delta will leave in tourists lots of imprints and senses of peace.

Coming to the Southern Truc Lam Zen Monastery to enjoy the landscape and pray for peace will be a memorable pilgrimage to the region of rivers. Since these cultural, spiritual values imbued in every little corner of the monastery will completely bring visitors feelings of peace in their mind.

Can Tho Museum

Can Tho Museum has a large area of nearly 3000 m2 located at 1 Hoa Binh Avenue, Tan An Ward, Ninh Kieu District. It exhibits a lot of ancient artifacts of the country, residents of Can Tho as well as the Mekong Delta through many different periods.

Artifacts with cultural and artistic values of the Kinh, Hoa, Khmer in the process of building and defending the country are also preserved in this museum.

My Khanh Tourist Village

Going downstream the Hau river about 20 minutes from the Cai Rang floating market, tourists will come to My Khanh tourist village that is not far away from the Southern Truc Lam Zen Monastery. Having a cool and fresh atmosphere, you will feel much more relaxed, comfortable and pleasant than in bustling city. Experiences that shall not to be missed here are enjoying more than 20 kinds of fruit in large gardens, visiting traditional handicraft villages, brewing wine, baking with local people, enjoying specialties, visiting Southern ancient houses, and listening to “vọng cổ” (literally “longing for the past”) songs  from the 80-year-old phonograph.
