The Southern Traditional Cake Festival 2018: “The origin of homeland’s cakes”

The Southern Traditional Cake Festival 2018 entitled “The origin of homeland’s cake” will be held from April 25th, 2018 to April 29th, 2018 (from Lunar March 10th, 2018 to Lunar March 14th, 2018) at Can Tho Investment Trade Promotion and International Exhibition Fair Center.

The festival is organized to celebrate great holidays of the nation. It is also an opportunity to attract domestic and foreign tourists to experience Southern culinary culture preserving and promoting the culinary culture value, especially the traditional folk cakes of people in the South in general and in Can Tho in particular.

The festival will gather nearly 200 booths with 100 southern traditional cake booths. The rest will display domestic and foreign specialties, industrial products supporting traditional cakes.

In addition, there will be many other interesting activities, such as the contest for making Southern traditional cakes, the activities showing the ways to make traditional cakes, workshop on preserving and packing technology of traditional cakes, the singing contest about Southern culinary and delicious cakes and so on.
