According to the Promotion Centre of Trade Investment and Tourism of Can Tho City, since the holiday lasted 4 days, the number of tourists visiting this floating market has significantly increased. Among these, the number of tourists from other countries and neighboring provinces also considerably rose on this occasion. Every day, thousands of tourists visited many famous landscapes and spiritual cultures in the city.

Mrs. Truong Kim Khuyen, Vice-chairman of Phong Dien District said the district had attracted more than 21,000 visitors on this New Year holiday. This number increases more than 30% compared to that in the same period of last year. Especially, My Khanh Ecotourism Village attracted approximately 5,000 visitors; and Thien Vien Truc Lam Phuong Nam welcomed more than 13,000 visitors.

Besides, the amusement park in the city center on 4th of January- the last day of the holidays had a sudden increase in the number of visitors especially pupils, students and employees who returned to the city.

In particular, on this occasion, Cai Rang floating market is the most attracting destination of foreign and local tourists to stop by. Only at the Rest Stop of Cai Rang floating market of One Member Limited Liability Company of Can Tho Sugar-Cane Trade and Tourism,  the number of visitors to Cai Rang floating market and other neighborhood gardens such as Vam Sang, Nam Lien, Ba Cong also significantly rose with more than 3,000 visitors.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duong, working in Ho Chi Minh City shared, thanks to the long holidays, he spent all of his time discovering Tay Do region with his friends. Visiting Cai Rang floating market, he really enjoyed with trading activities on the river. “ On such the long holidays, I traveled to Can Tho and stopped by Cai Rang floating market. Cai Rang Floating Market has a very special feature which is quite different from the other markets where I had visited. In this place, all activities take place on the river orderly without crowded scenes. I have had a great experience. Hopefully, I will come back to visit Cai Rang floating market in the next time,” he further mentioned.
