Over 300,000 visitors visit historic sites of Can Tho city

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first 6 months of this year, the historical-cultural relics ranked in the city and the traditional educational activities, cultural heritage in school, photo exhibition has been attracting 303,285 visitors.

Meanwhile, five programs named "Back to heritage" organized by the management board of Can Tho City have attracted over 5,000 students. Some historic sites popular to visitors in the last 6 months are Vuon Lan Ancient House, Binh Thuy Temple (Binh Thuy District), Ong Pagoda, Can Tho Old Market (Ninh Kieu District) ...

Particularly, in early 2018, the People's Committee of Can Tho City issued a decision to recognize Vinh Trinh Temple (Vinh Thanh District) as an architectural work of art at the municipal level, raising the total number of relics has been ranked up to 31 with 13 relics at the national level and 18 of them at the municipal level.
