Research Institute for Climate Change – CTU
The DRAGON Institute - Mekong – CTU (in Vietnam also called the "Research Institute for Climate Change - CanTho University") was established jointly by the governments of the US and Vietnam for cooperation in research and training to maintain healthy ecosystems and the sustainability of major river deltas in a changing climate.
The mission of the Institute is to become an internationally recognized centre of excellence for research and training on the impacts of climate change on major river deltas, and enhancing the resilience of delta communities and ecosystems to climate change.

Mekong Delta Development Reasearch Institute
The Mekong Delta Development Research Institute (MDI) was established in March 2005 based on the expansion of MD Farming Systems R&D Institute (1995), formerly the Department of Rice Science (1976), Can Tho University The Institute's activities, by well-experienced and specialized staff with international and in-country collaborations, are aimed at sustainable socio-economic development of the Mekong Delta through (i) education and training programs, (ii) research and technology transfer, and (iii) consultancy and implementation of local development programs/projects.

Cuu Long Delta Rice Research Institute
Cuu Long Delta Rice Research Institute (CLRRI) was founded in January 1977 at Thoi Thanh village, O Mon district, Can Tho province. It is based on the Resolution no. 41 NN-TC/QĐ and named the Mekong Delta Agricultural Technology Center. In 1985 the Institute took its present name.
CLRRI is a premier research institution of the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development (MARD). The Institute carries out research on rice and other major crops in the Mekong Delta. The main research themes are: Genetics and plant breeding, biotechnology, plant protection, entomology, soil science, soil fertility management, microbiology, water management, post harvest technology, farm machinery, farming system models, and agricultural economics…

Biotechnology Research and Development Institute
Function of Biotechnology Research and Development Institute (BiRDI) is doing research, transfering technology and training on Biotechnology in order to serve for production with the purpose of increasing income and improve living conditions of farmers in the Mekong Delta. Besides, biotechnology research and development is also a part of training program for BSc level and further higher levels (MSc, PhD).
