Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Truong Van Chuyen, Chairman of the Can Tho City Journalists’ Association and Editor-in-Chief of Can Tho Newspaper, stated that the thematic exhibition “The Article is a Revolutionary Proclamation” aims to reflect on the glorious tradition and significant contributions of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press in the struggle for national independence, reunification, and the building and defense of socialist Vietnam, as well as its role in the country’s reform and international integration efforts.
The exhibition also seeks to encourage, commend, honor, and express gratitude to generations of journalists and media agencies with outstanding achievements, while fostering pride and passion for the profession among today’s journalists. Additionally, it underscores the deep care and support of the Party and State for the press, as well as the companionship, trust, and expectations of the people for the development of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press.

The exhibition displays numerous artifacts and images showcasing the 100-year achievements of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press, including images and publications from Can Tho and Military Region 9 throughout history, special press publications, artifacts related to press activities across different periods, and books written about the press.
“Through this exhibition, reflecting on the glorious history of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press serves as a reminder to today’s journalists of their significant political and social mission. It inspires us to strive and remain worthy successors to the illustrious path forged by previous generations”, Mr. Truong Van Chuyen emphasized.
The Chairman of the Can Tho City Journalists’ Association further noted that, in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, with rapid advancements in science, technology, and particularly information technology, the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press in general, and Can Tho City press in particular, must continuously innovate and transform to keep pace with the times. Efforts are needed to build a professional, humane, and modern press and media landscape.

It will persistently innovate and create to meet the demands of new tasks, proving itself a worthy successor to the 100-year history of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.
