One of the new steps is the launching ceremony of the direct transport route connecting Can Tho city with Cai Mep port to Ho Chi Minh City taking place on May 30th, which will create favorable conditions for agricultural products, as well as goods processed according to Halal standards of Can Tho city to be exported to international markets, especially the UAE market.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee also said that every year the UAE imports a large amount of Halal products from the world markets. Meanwhile, Can Tho as well as many Mekong Delta provinces have strengths in producing and processing agricultural products, many of which have achieved Halal Certification such as seed products, custard tea, dried fruits, aquatic products, canned seafood, etc. The leaders of Can Tho city hope that in the coming time, Mr. Eisa Alhammadi will support the connections, helping Halal products from Can Tho to access more markets and consumers in the UAE; at the same time, introduce potential investors from the UAE to learn and invest in the Mekong Delta provinces, including Can Tho city...
