Can Tho has several popular tourist destinations that attract a large number of visitors such as Ong Lang Street, Phi Yen eco-tourism area, Ong De eco-tourism area, My Khanh tourist village, Purple House, Son islet, Tam Giac Mach (Buckwheat) Farm, Cai Rang Floating Market, Hung Kings’ Temple, Truc Lam Phuong Nam Zen Monastery, Ong Pagoda, Binh Thuy Communal house, etc. In particular, on the occasion of April 30th, the People's Committee of Ninh Kieu District held a ceremony to launch of Ninh Kieu pedestrian street with many attractive cultural, artistic and entertainment activities, such as Don ca tai tu performances (Southern folk music), musical instrument performances, folk games, dancesport, and other street activities that attract thousands of visitors. At 4-5 star hotels, there are culinary and art programs to serve tourists during the holidays. The average occupancy of accommodation establishments during the holidays is about 95%.

During the holidays, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho city also conducted a survey and an inspection on the activities and services to welcome tourists in some tourist areas and attractions in the city. At the same time, the city’s government also arranges forces and assigns departments to promptly manage and control the quality of tourism services, ensure security, safety, fire prevention, sanitation, food safety, and legal regulations in the tourism business.
