In May, the fruit gardens in the Southwest are also in season, durian, Burmese grape, mango, etc. are abundant, sold along the road in O Mon district, Phong Dien district. If you are a lover of green space, like the fresh and sweet taste of fruit, the Western fruit garden is an ideal destination, located about 4 hours from Ho Chi Minh City by car.
The garden that was visited by many tourists on the last holiday was the 9 Hong fruit garden in Phong Dien district. This place is in the Burmese grape season, and the trees are laden with fruit from root to branch. The fruit is in bright yellow, brightening the whole garden, intertwined with the vault of cool green leaves.
Ms. Ung, a gardener, said that 9 Hong garden grows many fruit trees such as star apple, Burmese grape, rambutan, durian, mangosteen, etc. There are seasonal fruits all year round. Visitors can come to the garden, buy tickets to enter the garden for taking photos, sightseeing, picking fruit to eat on the spot, playing folk games, and enjoying countryside dishes.
"Now is the Burmese grape season, and the rambutan season is about 2 months away. There are a lot of visitors on the occasion of the festival. The Burmese grape road is full of people's footsteps, over 500 visitors a day", Ms. Ung added, the price of the ticket was from 50,000 VND to 100,000 VND.
Visitors to the garden can take photos of the Burmese grape road with more than 200 trees laden with fruit. Compared with other types of Burmese grapes such as Ha Chau, Siamese Burmese grape, Gia Bao green Burmese grape, this yellow Burmese grape has a lot of sour taste, less sweet, but the tree is laden with fruit, and the beautiful fruit looks very eye-catching.

Thanh Duy from Hau Giang visited the Burmese grape garden on the occasion of May 1, saying that this place was quite crowded, so to take good photos, you had to wait. "I bought a ticket for 100,000 VND, including picking fruit to eat on-site. If I pick the fruit and bring it outside, the garden owner will charge extra money for the fruit. However, the yellow Burmese grapes are quite sour, so I can't eat much, and mainly take photos. This is my first time seeing a garden that has lots of fruit, I like it," he said.
As for Y Lan with her brother from Soc Trang to the Burmese grape garden, she was disappointed that the 50,000 VND ticket to visit the garden was not worth it. "The garden is divided into two zones, I see that the 100,000 VND area has more fruit, but the price is quite high, and the 50,000 VND area doesn’t have much fruit," she expressed.

Phong Dien also has many eco-tourism sites and fruit gardens. Some other suggested spots are Vam Xang, Giao Duong, Tuan Truong fruit gardens, etc.
