Accordingly, the festival is expected to open in three days, from 7 to 9 of July with many activities, such as: art performances to welcome, parade on river by boats, opening ceremony, composite boat race of the Mekong Delta, dragon boats, folk games, tourism promotion, contest on shaping and decorating local agricultural products and specialties, zones introducing different kinds of folk products and traditional careers, booths for cuisine, areas selling Vietnamese high - quality products, sections introducing and displaying books and newspapers, calligraphy writing, amateur music performances, general programs for culture and art and closing ceremony.

This year, the festival will have more activities on river, boat parade, high- quality fruits, and exhibition on the theme of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.
