The Department of Planning and Investment is under the authority of the Can Tho People’s Committee, which performs the functions of State management over planning and investment, including the provision of general advices on plannings, socio - economic development plans, mechanism and policies for general economic management, domestic and foreign investment in the city, business registration.
The Departmnet is also responsible for managing the issues
relating to business, co-operative
economy, private enterprise and carrying out some tasks and power as assigned
by the Can Tho People’s Committee and regulated in the Law.
