The Department of Industry and Trade is the professional department of the Can Tho People’s Committee established under the combination of the Department of Industry and the Department of Trade. It helps the Can Tho People’s Committee in state management in industry and trade, including mechanics, metallurgy, electricity, new energy, reused energy, oil and gas (if any), chemical, industrial explosives, mineral exploitation and processing, consumer industry, foodstuff industries and other processing industries; domestic trade, Import-export, market control, trade promotion, e-commerce, business service, economic integration, international trade. It also carries out other duties assigned by the Can Tho People’s Committee.
