At the reception, Lieutenant General Yong Mao emphasized the long-standing friendly relationship between Cambodia and Vietnam. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the leaders and people of Vietnam, particularly Can Tho City, for their continuous support towards Cambodia and its Ministry of National Defense over the years, especially in the field of healthcare.

He extended greetings and Tet wishes to the provincial Party Organization, authorities, and people and wished for enduring solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam, as well as closer ties between the department and Can Tho City in particular.

Vice Chairman of Can Tho Municipal People's Committee Nguyen Thuc Hien, expressed his gratitude to Lieutenant General Yong Mao and his delegation for their visit. He highlighted the strong relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia. Particularly, Can Tho City has established excellent relations with Phnom Penh, Battambang Province, Kampong Chhnang Province in Cambodia, and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. The two sides maintain a friendly relationship through regular activities such as meetings and mutual support. Vice Chairman Nguyen Thuc Hien wished that the fine neighborliness, traditional friendship, and comprehensive, sustainable, and long-term cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia would keep growing.
