At the meeting, APU Education Development Group offered 356 scholarships to students in Can Tho city. These students will have the opportunity to enroll in the Group's schools in the academic year 2022 - 2023. Moreover, APU group provides funding up to 90% of the course fee. Professor, Dr. John Behzad says that APU Group highly appreciates the potential of developing high-quality education in the Mekong Delta in general and Can Tho city in particular. Therefore, APU hopes that through these scholarships, there will be more and more students from Can Tho city and the Mekong Delta to participate in the US's advanced educational quality program; thereby, contributing to improving the quality of human resources for socio-economic development.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Duong Tan Hien, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho city, thanked APU Group for their support in the field of education. At the same time, Mr. Duong Tan Hien expressed his desire to further strengthen the cooperation relationship with APU Group and assigned the Department of Education and Training to act as the contact point to work with the Group regarding the city’s needs.
