The exhibition features 500 printed and 100 digital documents. The books are divided into three topics: “The Glorious History of the Vietnam People's Army”, “General Vo Nguyen Giap - Portrait of a Legend”, and “Historic Victory of Dien Bien Phu”.
The exhibition aims to introduce valuable publications that shed light on the history and traditions of the Vietnam People's Army, the life of legendary General Vo Nguyen Giap, and the Dien Bien Phu Victory. The event seeks to help readers better understand the country's patriotic traditions, history, and the struggle to protect the Fatherland. By doing so, it aims to arouse the spirit of passion for learning history, patriotism, national pride, and love for the homeland.
The exhibition will open until May 20, 2024, at Can Tho City Library (No. 29, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Tan An Ward, Ninh Kieu District). Additionally, it is also available online at http://cantholib.org.vn/trienlamsach/.
On this occasion, Can Tho City Library is working on a special information volume to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory. The volume, titled "Forever Shining the Spirit of Dien Bien", will be available both in print and digital form, and will consist of approximately 150 pages. The content will include documents relating to the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory in 1954, which have been carefully selected and arranged into four main parts: the historical context of the Dien Bien Phu campaign, developments and results of the campaign, historical significance and lessons learned from the victory, and finally, some pictures and stories about the event.
