Accordingly, as part of the series of activities of the Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair 2024, the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City coordinates with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City to organize an international famtrip to survey tourism products in Can Tho.

The famtrip to Can Tho is a key initiative aimed at promoting the destination, fostering tourism cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta within the framework of the cooperation program among 14 provinces and cities; contributing to promoting and connecting the tourism market. This event also provides Can Tho with an opportunity to introduce products and unique cultural features of the locality to the international market; creating conditions for Can Tho tourism businesses to exchange and build tourism cooperation relationships with international partners, expanding the market.

The famtrip group, consisting of approximately 70 people from various countries including the United States, Turkey, Austria, South Korea, India, Australia, and representing diverse markets in America, Europe, and Asia, conducted a survey of tourism products and accommodation services in Ninh Kieu District, Phong Dien Rural District, Cai Rang District, and Thot Not District.

On this occasion, leaders of Can Tho Tourism also sent souvenirs and sincere thanks to the famtrip members.

Also during this time, VTF Famtrip 2024 with the theme “Comeback home: Thu Thuong Thanh” took place at Bao Gia Trang Vien (The Green Resort) and Bao Gia Farm Camping. This is a program organized by VTF (Vietnam Small and Medium Tourism Business Forum) under the Vietnam Tourism Association, in coordination with Hai Au Can Tho Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Co., Ltd. in Can Tho.

This program is an opportunity for travel agencies, accommodation providers, and tourism businesses nationwide to gather, exchange, connect, share, seek and experience new tourism products, exchange cooperation opportunities and build new tours. Accordingly, the famtrip group includes about 100 people from travel agencies and tourism businesses in the northern region, the central region, Ho Chi Minh City, and provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta.

“Comeback home: Thu Thuong Thanh” is a specialized tourism program designed specifically for the VTF Famtrip 2024, featuring many unique local cultural experiences associated with the Thuong Thanh area (Cai Rang District). The program offers tourists new experiences, combining tradition and modernity, and recreating the atmosphere of a small village in the Mekong Delta with the warm culture of the Western region.
