In recent times, the western cluster in the Mekong Delta has been focusing on developing new tourism products and organizing events, festivals, and stimulus programs to attract more tourists. Some examples include the Southern Traditional Cake Festival, The Hung Kings' Temple Festival in Can Tho, and Phu Quoc Tourism Week in Kien Giang. Additionally, these localities have been working together to promote tourism cooperation with other clusters, and localities across the country. They have also organized joint promotion delegations in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and the Northwest. Furthermore, they have participated in exhibitions and tourism fairs such as the Dien Bien Ban Flower Festival, VITM Hanoi 2024, and the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2024. The western cluster in the Mekong Delta also regularly holds meetings to exchange experiences, supports state management activities on tourism, provides human resource training, and works on building digital data and applying technology to tourism.
At the end of the year, the tourism cluster in the Western Mekong Delta will continue to coordinate in implementing the tourism cooperation program between Ho Chi Minh City and 13 Mekong Delta provinces and cities. They will also work together in organizing and participating in tourism promotional activities, hosting festival events and developing stimulus programs towards the year-end tourist season, supporting and sharing information on building tourism products of localities, organizing summary conferences, improving the quality of tourism human resources, and promoting digital transformation.
